Mr. Bert Walker, age 91, died Thursday at Volunteer Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Murphy Funeral Home; 1:00 P.M. Burial to follow in Hatler's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February 19, 2010, from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pauline Billingsby Walker of Martin. One son survives, Ron Walker of Highland, Michigan. Mr. Walker is survived by brothers, T. Joe Walker of Martin, Raphael Walker of Martin, Eulane Walker of Martin, Bob Walker of Toledo, Ohio, William (Bill) Walker of Dresden and Hilman Walker of Bartlett, TN; sisters, Josephine Brundige of Martin, Wilma Dean Hane of Martin and Robbie Martin of Murray, KY, two grandchildren, Lisa Walker and Diane Tunison; two great-grandchildren, David Shaw and Kendall Shaw.
Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his son, Robert Walker; parents, Neal L. Walker and Lillian Gatewood Walker.
Mr. Walker was a retired car salesman and a member of the Martin Church of Christ. He was a veteran, U.S. Army WW II.
