Bertha Marie Chester

Mrs. Bertha Marie Chester, age 89, of Martin, TN, died Tuesday, 07/13/2021, at the Weakley County Nursing and Rehab Center.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 07/15/2021, at 1:00 PM at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Cooper and Rev. Amanda Crice officiating, with burial to follow at Flatwoods Cemetery, near Camden, TN.  Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Thursday until service time.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Brown, Griffin Brown, Robert Brown, David Markham, Steve Markham, and Chuck Markham.

Mrs. Chester was a member of First United Methodist Church of Martin, TN; she was retired from the University of Tennessee Martin as a secretary in the English Department.

Mrs. Chester was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Mary Allen Markham.

Mrs. Chester is survived by her husband, William Wayne Chester, Martin, TN; she is survived by her daughter, Sherrie (Robert) Brown, Milan, TN; and she is survived by two grandchildren, Matthew (Becca) Brown and Griffin Brown.
