Betty G. Wright

Mrs. Betty McDurmon Wright, age 90, died Monday, July 20, 2020, at Van Ayer Healthcare & Rehab in Martin.

Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be Thursday, July 30, 2020, 11:00 A.M. at Murphy Funeral Home.  Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.  Due to health concerns the family has requested everyone be aware of social distancing and wear a face covering. 

Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Wright; her son, Joey Wright, her brother, Douglas Earl McDurmon; her sister, Patsy Nell McDurmon and parents, Leonard McDurmon and Lyndell McDurmon Thompson.

She was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church in Martin.

Mrs. Wright is survived by her children, Tressa (Ron) Jacobs of Martin and Mike (Judy) Wright of Meridianville, AL; sister, Iris (Don) Bell of Martin; grandchildren, Melissa "Missy" Jacobs of Hinton, West Virginia, Jon Wright and Joe Wright of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
