Mr. Billy Miles, age 83, of Martin died Monday, July 6, 2015, at Volunteer Community Hospital.
Funeral Service will be Friday, July 10, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at Murphy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Public Wells Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 9, 2015, from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
Mr. Miles was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Jane Grooms Miles; his parents, Benjamin Hall Miles and Carrie Trevathan Miles; one brother, Jimmy Miles. He is survived by his daughter, Sharrye Miles (Mark) Holder of Memphis; his son, Shawn (Deana) Miles of Martin; two sisters, Carolyn Miles Westin of Shelby Township, MI and Jeanette Miles Breeden of Martin; two grandchildren, Erin Miles (Greg) Alderdice of Dresden and William Adam Miles of Martin.
Mr. Miles was a retired switchman for Illinois Central Railroad. He was a graduate of Martin High School and a member of Public Wells Baptist Church. He was a veteran, U.S. Army/Korean Conflict.
