Billy Winstead
February 5, 1932 — November 17, 2022
Mr. Billy Joe Winstead, age 90, died Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Diversicare in Martin.
Funeral service will be Saturday, November 19, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Dr. Roger S. Oldham officiating. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday beginning at 12:00 Noon until service time at 2:00.
Pallbearers are Tom Seratt, Lance Patton, Tommy Seratt, Tommy Winstead, Brian Patton, Sam Freeman, James Allen and Jamison Turner.
Mr. Winstead is survived by his wife, Nola Jeanne Baker Winstead; his daughters, Sarae (Tom) Seratt of Martin and Susan (Lance) Patton of Jefferson City, TN; three grandchildren, Tommy (Meagan) Seratt, Emily (John) Wright and Brian Patton; three great-grandchildren, Luke Seratt, Nola Wright and Will Wright.
He was a retired Electrical Supervisor for The University of Tennessee at Martin and served in the Tennessee National Guard. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.D. Winstead and Lottie Mae Gardner Winstead.
