Mr. Bobby Joe Yancey, age 83, of Palmersville, TN died Sunday, June 11, 2023, at his home.
Murphy Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.
Mr. Yancey was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Deanna Yancey; his mother, Hazel Thornton; his father, Davie Hilton.
He was a retired U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran and retired detention officer for the Polk County Sherriff's Office in Bartow, Florida.
He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Ann Pierce of Dresden; his son, Timothy Lloyd (Kim Page) Yancey of Fargo, ND; one sister, Yvonne McDaniel of Thomaston, GA; four grandchildren, Amy Gann, Kyle Yancey, Nicole Yancey and Jessica Dean; 12 great-grandchildren.
