Mr. Robert "Bobby" Gene Yates, age 86 of Martin died Monday, May 13, 2024, at Jackson Madison County Hospital.
Graveside service will be Friday, May 17, 2024, 11:00 AM at East Side Cemetery with Rev. Cathy Barnett officiating. Family and friends may assemble in the cemetery at 10:45 AM.
Mr. Yates is survived by his wife, Wanda Burress Yates of Martin; two daughters, Sonja (David Penick) Blake of Martin and Terry Darlene (Wayne) Rogers of Beebe, Arkansas; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was retired from Excel Manufacturing as a lab technician. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin and a veteran, U.S. Army and National Guard. He was a member of the Martin City Lodge #551.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clancy C. Yates and Edith Marie Carson Yates; one brother, Jerald C. Yates.
