Bro. Fred Jones, age 89, and a resident of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at West Tennessee Volunteer Hospital.

Fred was born on December 5, 1936, in Martin, TN, to the late Fred W and Aline Jones.
He was an active member and former minister at Holy Hills Baptist Church in Dyersburg, TN. Fred enjoyed fishing, reading his Bible, and inspirational books.

He is survived by one son, Tim Jones of Dyersburg, TN; five brothers, Donnie (Elwanda) Jones of Martin, TN, Ronnie (Pam) Jones of Hornbeak, TN, Finis (Judy) Jones of Martin, TN, Ray (Linda) Jones of Martin, TN, and Kenneth (Rita) Jones of Martin, TN.

In addition to his parents, Fred is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jones; one daughter, Debra Jones; two brothers, Jimmy Jones and Michael Jones; and one sister, Hazel Darnell.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 11:00 am at Unity Cemetery in Dresden, TN.
Tim Jones will officiate the services.
