Charles "Dickie" McMillin

March 15, 1935 — August 7, 2025

Charles “Dickie” McMillin, age 90, of Martin, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on August 7, 2025, surrounded by his family.

He was born on March 15, 1935, to the late Roy L. McMillin and Eunie Spicer McMillin. He lived most of his life on his home place, in the Campground Community, outside of Martin. He worked for twenty years at Interstate Life and Accident Insurance Company. He later worked at Schwan’s Food Service until he retired after twenty-two years.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman, with a love for gardening and bird dogs. He was known by many for his “Dickie Biscuits” that he served to those who visited or came to his home after hunting. He had a calm spirit and never met a stranger. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and enjoyed telling stories about growing up with seven brothers.

Dickie is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Agnes Ferguson McMillin; two children, Kenneth McMillin (Denise) and Penny Latta (Terry); five grandchildren, Christy McMillin (Cathy), Heath Latta (Krista), Kyle McMillin (Molly), Tim Latta, Erin Cain; and one great granddaughter, Byrdie McMillin.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his seven brothers, Harold, Buddy, Donnie, Tom, JC, JD, and Billy.
