Charles Ogg

Mr. Charles Ogg, age 92 and longtime resident of Martin, TN, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Ogg was born April 29,1933 to the late Basil Ogg and Evelyn Barber Ogg of Martin, Tn.

He was a member of Bible Union Baptist Church in Martin, TN and a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner at the Martin City Lodge #551. Charles was a retired lineman with 42 years of service with the Weakley County Municipal Electric System. He was a Tennessee National Guard veteran and enjoyed farming for 16 years in his retirement years. In his spare time, Charles could be found rebuilding International Tractors.

He is survived by his two daughters, Linda Kay (Donald) Williams of Friendship, Tn and Donna Gail (Kenneth) McNabb of Trenton, Tn; one son, Jerry Glenn (Debby) Ogg of Elkmont, AL; five grandchildren, Kimberly Williams of Friendship, Tn, J.P Williams of Friendship, TN, Jason (Dani) Ogg of Franklin, Tn, Amber (Carson) Moore of Martin, Tn, Will (Kelly) Futrell of Arlington, TN and Donya Williams of Dyersburg, Tn ; six great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Williams, Roy Williams, Mason Moore, Olive Ogg, Dalton Moore, Thomas Futrell, Addison Jones of Dyersburg, Tn and JonAsthon Welch of Dyersburg, Tn, and a special companion Wanda Arant of Dresden, TN; two sisters; Betty (Ronald) Winstead of Martin, TN, Martha (Terry) Wheeler of Martin, Tn; one brother, Jack (Cathy) Ogg of Martin, Tn.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his wife Dorothy Ann Ogg and one sister; Judy Giffin.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 11:00am at Bible Union Baptist Church in Martin, TN, Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Bible Union Baptist Church beginning at 5:00pm until 7:30pm, and on Friday May 16, 2025, beginning at 10am until the hour of service. Bro Terry Griffin will officiate. Burial to follow in Eastside Cemetery.
