Clyde "CJ" Ray Nichols Jr., age 35, of Jackson, TN, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. He was born on June 23, 1990 in Union City, TN.

C.J. was a beloved son, brother and uncle who brought creativity, energy, and joy to those around him. A certified welder by trade, he had aspirations of becoming a diesel mechanic. Known for his artistic spirit, as a child he would spend hours with his paper and a pencil replicating every single detail of his Pokémon cards. C.J. also had an athletic side and a natural ability to connect with others. Above all, C.J. will be remembered as a wonderful and devoted uncle. He adored his nieces and nephews and cherished every moment spent with them. His presence in their lives was with laughter, encouragement, and love.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Ray Nichols Sr. and his paternal grandparents, Enola Mae Buckelew (Richard), and James Nichols Sr. (Rozanne).

He is survived by his mother, Cynthia Leyhue Coleman and his bonus dad, Wesley Allen Coleman; his sisters, Allison Mabry (Brek) and Ashley Glenn (Greg); his maternal grandparents, Tommy and Gloria Camp. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews; Abygail McGhee, Braylon Glenn, Sidalee Mabry, Parker Glenn, Lilah Mabry, and Charolette Glenn; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousin who will mis dearly.

Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, with funeral services beginning at 1:00 pm at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel in Martin, Tennessee.

C.J.'s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
