Mr. Danny Wheat, age 75, and a resident of Martin, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN.
Mr. Wheat was born in Martin, TN, on March 26, 1950, to the late Jeter and Ruby Murphy Wheat.
Danny was an active member at Central Baptist Church in Martin, TN. He was a Row crop farmer on his family farm and a truck driver at Roberts Petroleum for 25 years. He loved farming, mowing his yard, his John Deere tractors, and most of all spending cherished time with his family.
Danny is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mrs. Carol Foust Wheat of Martin, TN; one daughter, Dana (Brandon) Wheat Jarrett of Knoxville, TN; one son, Bryan Shawn (Kim) Wheat of Martin, TN; six grandchildren, Silas Jarrett of Portland, OR, Jemma Jarrett of Knoxville, TN, Paige (Dylan) Cole of Dyer, TN, Morgan (Nick) Capua of Martin, TN, Jacob (Emilee) Wheat of Ooltewah, TN, and Hailey Wheat of Martin, TN; three great-grandchildren, Mason Cole of Dyer, TN, Brandt Cole of Dyer, TN and Hendon Wheat of Ooltewah, TN; two sisters, Carolyn Killebrew of Atwood, TN, and Brenda Kimbrell of Crossville, TN.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Wheat.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the service, in our funeral chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, in our funeral chapel.
Bro. Kylan Mann and Bro. Chad Morrow will officiate.
Burial will follow in Sandy Branch Cemetery.
