Ms. Darleen Evelyn Hammond, age 83, a resident of Martin, TN, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the West Tennessee Volunteer Hospital in Martin, TN.

Darleen was born on July 18, 1942, in San Diego, CA, to the late Marvelle Poole Elson and Lowell Elson.
She was a retired Real Estate Agent for REMAX Realtors and Coldwell Banker, a flight attendant during the Vietnam War with Continental Airlines. She had a lifelong passion for gardening and genealogy and was known for her highly developed aesthetic sense.

She is survived by her children; Charles (Kyoko) Hammond Jr. of Martin, TN, Jennifer Hammond of Seattle, WA, John Hammond of Chattanooga, TN, and Charlotte Hammond of Southern California; three grandchildren: Charles Hammond III of Upland, CA, Deion Hammond of Martin, TN, and Sophia Hammond of Milan, TN.

In addition to her parents, Darleen is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hammond Sr, D.D.S

There will be no services held at this time.
