Darleen Mitchell Vowell

Mrs. Darleen Mitchell Vowell, age 82, of Martin died Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, Tennessee.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 11, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church in Martin with Dr. Roger S. Oldham officiating.  Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home, or after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the church.  

Mrs. Vowell was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Vowell, Jr.; her parents, George Marion Mitchell and Ruby Jeanette Davie Mitchell; one brother, Jerry Lynn Mitchell.

She was retired after 39 years as a bank teller at Regions Bank in Martin.  She was member of Eastern Star-Bob Revis #71 and a  faithful member of First Baptist Church in Martin.

She is survived by her daughters, Julie Tansil-Trejo (Vincent) of Elgin, Oklahoma and Brandy Seifert (Dierk) of Dresden, TN; son, Benjamin Vowell of Jackson, TN; three grandchildren, Alexandra Trejo, Isabel Trejo and Jensen Vowell.
