Mr. Dave L. Covington, age 83, and a resident of Martin, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Anna Mae Owen Hospice House in Murray, KY.

Mr. Covington was born on January 29, 1943, in Dresden, TN, to the late Sylvester Tipton Covington and Mary Catherine McDaniel Covington.
Dave was a retired Fireman, serving at the Martin Fire Department, and a retired self-employed construction worker.

Dave is survived by his four sons, Todd Covington of Martin, TN, Brien Covington of Martin, TN, Charles (Rebecca) Covington of Martin, TN, and Joseph Covington of Dyersburg, TN; nine grandchildren, Brett Covington of Martin, TN, Baylee Covington of Martin, TN, Macie Covington of Martin, TN, Channing Covington of Martin, TN, Elaine Covington of Martin, TN, Ashley Peters of Steele, MO, Katelyn Gunn of Sharon, TN, and David Joseph Covington of Dyersburg, TN; three great-grandchildren; and his long-term companion Ms. Dean Thaxton of Springfield, TN.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Covington is preceded in death by his wife, Judie Elaine Covington; grandson, Cory King; two brothers, and three sisters.

Graveside services will be held at Eastside Cemetery in Martin on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
Bro. Tom Harrison and Bro. Dale Willis will officiate.
