Ms. Deanna Gale Thornburg, age 63, and a resident of Martin, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Diversicare in Martin.She was born on December 30, 1962, in Union City, TN, to the late Gene Dortch and Betty Cochran Tucker.

Deanna was a devoted homemaker throughout her life, dedicating herself to creating a warm and welcoming home. She found joy in music, cherished the beauty of flowers, and expressed her creativity through painting. Her deep appreciation for art was matched only by her genuine love for all animals, reflecting a compassionate and nurturing spirit.

She is survived by her daughter, Nicole (Tim) Hicks of Sharon, TN; and two brothers, John David (Mary) Dortch of Latham, TN, and Ronnie (Brenda) Dortch of Greenfield, TN.

Deanna is preceded in death by her parents; and one sibling, Terri Dortch.
