Don Lewis Jones

Mr. Don Lewis Jones, age 81, of Martin died Saturday, December 17, 2022, at his home.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 21, 2022, 11:00 A.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Washburn officiating.  Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery with Military Honors.  Visitation will be Tuesday, December 20, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home, or after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home until funeral time at 11:00.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Landry and David Rousch.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 54 years, Virginia Lambert Jones of Martin; his son, James (Debbie) Jones of Union City, TN; two grandchildren, Sara Jones and Christopher Jones; one great-grandchild, Thomas Blackard; his niece and nephew, Ryan (Kim) Lambert and Amanda Lambert.

Mr. Jones retired after 33 years from the Canadian National Railroad where he was a train official.  He was a veteran, U. S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Charles Jones and Maudine Fortenberry Jones.
