Farris Smith Jr.

Mr. Farris Smith Jr., age 93, and a resident of Martin, TN, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at The Waters of Union City, TN.

Farris was born on December 21, 1931, in Martin, TN, to the late Eva White and Farris Smith Sr.
He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of Masonic Lodge 551 in Martin, TN, for over 50 years, and was the oldest living Mason in Weakley County, TN.
He worked various career paths over his lifetime at The Varsity, Sunset Drive Inn, Vincent Shoes, and The University of Tennessee- Martin.

He is survived by two of his children, Robin Farrar of Rives, TN, and Regina (Randy) Campbell of Florence, AL;
 seven grandchildren, Jamie Farrar, Jay Farrar, Michael Farrar, Sunny Farrar, Samantha Farrar, Anna Campbell, and Johnathon Campbell.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Farris is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Arnold Smith; one daughter, Sandra Farrar; two brothers, Robert Smith and Carl Smith; and one sister, Nancy Smith.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Central Baptist Church in Martin, TN.
Burial to follow in Eastside Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30 at Central Baptist Church beginning at 11:00 am until the hour of the service.
