Frances Carnice Newton

Mrs. Frances Carnice Newton, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at her residence.

Visitation will be Friday, April 19, 2019, from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 Noon at Murphy Funeral Home with graveside service to follow at East Side Cemetery at 12:30 P.M.  Rev. Eddie Mallonee will officiate.

Mrs. Newton is survived by her nephew, Michael W. (Linda) Tummins of Dickson, TN; great niece, Kelly L. (Corey) James of White Bluff, TN; great-nephew, Clay B. (Lauren) Tummins of St. Louis, MO, and their children.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Norris Newton; infant son, Douglas Nelson Newton; parents, Guy Ennis Garrish and Amanda Elizabeth Collins Garrish; sister, Bernice Elizabeth Tummins.

Mrs. Newton was retired from World Color, a homemaker, a member of Second Baptist Church of Union City, TN, and friend to many.
