Gwen Hodges

Gwendolyn "Gwen" Hodges, age 82, of Martin passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024, at West Tennessee Volunteer Hospital.

Funeral service will be Friday, December 27, 2024, 1:00 P.M. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Thurman Neal Penick and Rev. Michael Norton officiating.  Burial will follow in Cate Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday at the church beginning at 11:00 A.M. until funeral time.

She is survived by her son, Billy ( Amy) Hodges of Morristown, TN; brother, Duane (Linda) Merritt of Martin; sister-in-law, Glenda Merritt;  three grandchildren, Adison Hodges, Morgan (Jason) Newell and Mitchell (Regan) Snapp; one great-grandchild, Hazel Faye Snapp.

She was retired from Dairy Queen, Parker Hannnifin and Halls Printing.  She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Martin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Maxel Merritt and Gaynell Peery Merritt;  her brother, Gerald Merritt.
