H.C. Gainey

Mr. H.C. Gainey, age 84, died Friday, October 16, 2020, at his residence in Martin.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, October 20, 2020, 12:00 Noon in East Side Cemetery with Dr. Mike Sams officiating.  Family and friends may assemble at 11:45 A.M. in the cemetery.

Honorary Pallbearers are Ted Blackwell, Deaton Blackwell, Don McDonald, Jimmie Coghlan and Andy Milling.

Mr. Gainey is survived by his wife, Louise Downs Gainey; his daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Ted Blackwell all of Martin; two grandchildren, Deaton (Breanne) Blackwell of Chattanooga, TN and Maggie Blackwell of Martin; one great-granddaughter, Bradley Blackwell; his sister-in-law, Nora Gainey.

He was retired from Building Plastic, Inc. and was a member of Leawood Baptist Church in Memphis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Gainey and Lessie Thrash Gainey; two sisters, Jimmie Lee Anderson and Rachel Coghlan; two brothers, Pete Gainey and Ross Gainey; his sister-in-law Lucille Gainey.
