Irene Harper

Mrs. Irene Copeland Harper, age 91, died Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at Van Ayer Nursing and Rehab Center in Martin.

Funeral service will be Sunday, June 30, 2019, 2:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Cooper officiating.  Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon on Sunday, June 30th, until funeral time at 2:00.

Mrs. Harper was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Harper; parents, George Perry Copeland and Alene Yates Copeland; sister, Mildred Covington; brothers, W.D. Copeland, J.R. Copeland, Charles Copeland and Tom Copeland.

Mrs. Harper was a retired Administrative Assistant at The University of Tennessee at Martin.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Martin.

She is survived by her nieces, Brenda Stephenson, Charlene Negendank, Janet Elliott, Tina Brewer and Melinda Morrison; her nephews, Steve Covington and Brent Copeland; sister-in-law, Caroline Copeland.
