Mr. Jackie Leonard Laird, age 71, and resident of Martin, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026, in Nashville at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Jackie is survived by his wife Leticia Jo Laird of Martin, TN; four children, Sabrina Bates of Union City, TN, Jermy (Crystal) Legens of McKenzie, TN, Dustin (Alicia) Legens of Gleason, TN, and Charity (Daniel) Heisler of Martin, TN; eight grandchildren, Samantha Bates of Martin, TN, Dillon Bates of Martin, TN, Ian Legens of Hickory, KY, Aiden Legens of McKenzie, TN, Tallon Legens of Gleason, TN, Christian Heisler of Martin, TN, Anastasia Heisler of Martin, TN, and Gotham Heisler of Martin, TN; two great- grandchildren, Kennedy Legens of McKenzie, TN, and Ledger Legens of Hickory, KY; four siblings, Brenda Nell Laird of Dresden, TN, Roger Dale Laird of Sharon, TN, Billy Lee Laird of Martin, TN, and Pamela Jean Laird of Sharon, TN.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Laird is preceded in death by one son Gary Laird; one sister, Cathy Ann Laird; one brother, Danny Wayne Laird.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm in our funeral chapel.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 8, 2026, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm until the hour of services, all to be held in our funeral chapel.
Burial to follow at Eastside cemetery.
