Jansen Elizabeth Thomason, age 25 and a resident of Martin, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at her residence.

Jansen was born in Jackson, TN, on November 25, 2000, to Tracey Lea Gardner and the late James Matthew Thomason Sr.
She was a devoted member of the Methodist faith and actively involved at Gardner Methodist Church in Martin, TN. A graduate of Westview High School in Martin, TN, Jansen had worked at Stanley Black and Decker in Martin and Parker Hannifin Plastic in Greenfield. She was especially known for her love of Legos, Squishmallows, and, most of all, her beloved dog, Hank.

In addition to her mom, Jansen is survived by her father, Michael Sutton of Martin, TN; three brothers, Matthew (Carlee) Thomason of Martin, TN, Jordan Thomason of Smyrna, TN and Joshua Thomason of Nashville, Tn; one sister, Jenna Sutton of Martin, TN; her grandparents, Franklin L (Ann Elizabeth Hicks) Gardner of the Gardner Community, and Sandra Mae Jones of Frog Jump, TN, Mildred Sutton of Tatumville, TN, and Pam Thomason of Brownville, TN; several uncles and aunts, and one niece,  Lainee Ann Thomason of Martin, TN.

In addition to her dad, James Matthew Thomason Sr., she is preceded in death by two grandparents, James "Ed" Thomason and Donald Wayne Sutton.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in our funeral chapel, and 
on Friday, December 12, 2025, beginning at 9:00 am until the hour of service at Gardner Methodist Church in Martin, TN.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Gardner Methodist Church in Martin, TN.
Bro. Tommie Martin will officiate.
Burial to follow at Gardner Cemetery.
