Jim Max Petty

Mr. Jim Max Petty, age 84, of the McConnell Community, died Saturday, 01/05/2019, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, 01/09/2019, at Murphy Funeral Home, with Rev. Brad Jordan officiating, with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Sharon, TN.  Visitation will be Tuesday evening between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM or after 10:00 AM Wednesday until service time.

Mr. Petty was a member of Pleasant Valley Methodist Church; he was owner and operator of Joker Joe's Fireworks; he was a U.S. Army veteran.

Mr. Petty is survived by his wife, Martha McQuen Petty, of Martin, TN; two daughters, Carrie(Chris) Turnage, Mayfield, KY, and Susanne (Tony) Smith, Dresden, TN; two step daughters, Natalie (Richard) Voss, Gates, TN, and Jennifer Henry, Ripley, TN; five grandchildren, and a sister, Barbara Clark, Michigan.

Mr. Petty was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace Hiveley Petty; a daughter, Sheryl Laster, and his parents, Raymond and Lilly Collins Petty.
