Johnny Rooks

Mr. John Edward "Johnny" Rooks, age 59, died Monday, October 16, 2017, at Tennova Healthcare Volunteer Hospital.
Graveside Service will be Saturday, October 21, 2017, 1:30 P.M. in East Side Cemetery with Rev. Kylan Mann and Rev. Roger McPeak officiating. Visitation will be Saturday beginning at 11:00 A.M. at Murphy Funeral Home.
Mr. Rooks is survived by his daughters, Chasidy King and Hanna Rooks both of Dresden; his sons, Austin Nobles of Martin, Reed Rooks and Luke Rooks both of Dresden; sisters, Linda Joe Vincent of Martin and Nancy (Thomas) Russ of Foley, Alabama; brothers, Emery (Joyce) Rooks of Martin and Mike (Gail) Rooks of Arlington, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard E. Rooks and Willie Mae Boone Rooks; his brother-in-law, Joe Vincent.
Johnny was a 1975 graduate of Westview High School and a veteran, U.S. Navy. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Martin.
