Mr. Jonathan Cook Jr., of Martin, TN, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at Jackson- Madison County General Hospital, in Jackson, TN.

Jonathan was born in Lake County, TN, on August 18, 1957, to the late Azielee Wilson Cook and Jonathan S. Cook Sr.
He was an active member at Bible Union Baptist Church in Martin, TN, a former member at New Hope Assembly in Clinton, KY, a graduate of Fulton County High School in Hickman, KY, a former employee at MTD in Martin, TN, a Volunteer Firefighter at  Water Valley Fire Department, and served and retired as the District 6 Weakley County Constable. John previously lived in Herrin, IL, for 7 years, and most of his life in Weakley County, TN. 

John is survived by his wife, Lisa Poyner Cook of Martin, TN; one son, Jonathan Cook of Martin, TN; one granddaughter, Macy McGowan of Union City, TN; and one sister, Minnie Sue Baker of Union City, TN. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Frances Young and Annie Mae Atikinson.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Bible Union Baptist Church in Martin, TN.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Bible Union Baptist Church in Martin, TN 
Bro. Randy McClure and Bro. Keith Sumner will officiate.
Burial to follow at Eastside Cemetery.

Pallbearers to serve:
Chris Dew, Michael Rouse, Sam Pollock, Justin Snow, Dominic Dutton, and Mike Presepio.
