June Hill

Mrs. Virginia Mae "June" Hill, age 95, of Martin died Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at her home.

Funeral service will be Friday, April 14, 2023, 1:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. David Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery in Martin.  Visitation will be Friday beginning at 11:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00.

Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, William Edgar Hill; her son, Leslie Hill; her daughter, Liz Smith; parents, William Grainger and Willie Mae Howe Grainger; sisters, Juliet Wilson,  Eleanor Whitlow and Louise Cummings; brother, J.T. Grainger; two grandchildren, Joel and Lindsey Everett.

She was a retired nurse after working years for Dr. OK Smith and Volunteer General Hospital in Martin.  She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Elise (David) Hill Everett and her son, Billy (Joan) Hill both of Martin; eight grandchildren, Greg Everett, CJ Smith, Melissa Staggs, Brittany Chin, Billy Hill, Jr., Gina Pflueger, Chris Hill and Cindy Knoll.  June is survived by 14 great-grandchildren and eight great great-grandchildren.
