Mary Nethery

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Nethery, age 90, of Martin died Friday, March 17, 2023, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 21, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Paul Tinkle officiating.  Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday beginning at 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00.

Mrs. Nethery was preceded in death by her husband, Charles N. Nethery; her parents, James Robert Sexton and Ima Lois Roberts Sexton.

She retired from Baybee Shoe Company and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Martin.  "Miss Mary" proudly served Thunderbolt Broadcasting (WCMT) as a long time "weatherologist" and could be heard daily on WCMT's "Good Times in the Morning".

She is survived by her brother, Larry (Joy) Sexton; her nephew and niece, Brent (Linda) Nethery and Beth (Steve) Legens; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bobbie and Nola Ann Nethery all of Martin.
