Mary Tyner

Mrs. Mary Blanche Wiggins Tyner, age 96, of Martin died Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Van Ayer Nursing and Rehab Center.

In accordance to her wishes a graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022, 4:00 P.M. in East Side Cemetery with Rev. Larry Washburn and Rev. David Horton officiating.  

Mrs. Tyner was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles E. Tyner, Sr.; her son, Joseph Tyner; parents, Joseph and Blanche Wiggins; sister, Martha Call; brother, Frank Wiggins.

Along with her husband, Mrs. Tyner owned and operated Tyner's Jewelry in Martin for over 50 years.  She was a graduate of Fulton High School in Fulton, KY and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Martin.  She was a gifted artist loving to paint, needlework, stained glass and calligraphy.  

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles E. Tyner, Jr. and Ginny Tyner; six grandchildren, Megan (Chris) Alford, Dina (Jamey) Bowers, Josh (Eryn) Tyner, Jason Tyner, Laura (Patrick) Davis and Ellen Vaughn; 11 great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Mylinda Tyner.
