Mr. Melvin Eugene Hill, age 93, and a resident of Rives, TN, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Union City Health and Rehab.

Melvin was born on February 3, 1933, in Rives, TN, to the late Hester Hill and Casarine Wagster Hill. He was a devoted member at Alamo Baptist Church in Rives, and He shared a delightful 70 years of marriage with his late beloved wife, Mary Wallace Hill. Melvin was not only a loving husband but also a dedicated farmer in the #7 community of Obion County for all of his life.

Mr. Hill leaves behind his beloved children, his son, Ronald Hill of Rives, TN; his daughter, Melinda (John) Wylie of Kenton, TN; as well as five grandchildren, Jayson (Summer) Hill of Gleason, TN, Mary Alice (Payton) Williams of Dresden, TN, Elizabeth (Zach) Boyarski of Paducah, KY, Abby Hill of Rives, TN, and Miranda Hill of Rives, TN. He was also a proud great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren, Blake Hill, Bronson Hill, Benny Odle, and Blayne Odle, all of Gleason, TN.

In addition to his parents, Melvin is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Wallace Hill, of 70 years; one grandson, Bob Henry McKeand; and one sister and brother-in-law, Peggy (Thomas) Hundley.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Alamo Baptist Cemetery in Rives, TN, beginning at 12:00 pm.
Bro. Jeff Crabtree will officiate.
Friends and family are asked to join at the Cemetery.
