Ms. Mildred "Sis" Joan Ward, age 86, and a resident of Martin, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, at West Tennessee Hospital in Martin, TN.

Mildred was born on July 14, 1939, in Chicago, IL, to the late Gordon Ward and Rita Dietz Ward.
She was a retired office manager at Meyer and Company. She enjoyed watching TV, especially The View and General Hospital, playing solitaire, and scrolling through Facebook looking at photos.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Rita (Milton) Watson of Fairdale, KY; one grandson, Kenneth Gordon Dailey of Jeffersonville, IN; one sister, Iris Joyner of Martin, TN; one brother, Ronald Ward of Martin, TN; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Ward is preceded in death by one brother, James Ward; and one sister, Deborah Ward.

Private family services will be held at later date.
