Mrs. Minnie Bell Morton McCollum, age 96, of Martin died Saturday, January 1, 2011, at Van Ayer Manor Nursing Home in Martin.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Murphy Funeral Home; 11:00 A.M. Burial to follow in East Side Cemetery in Martin. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at the funeral home; 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.
Mrs. McCollum was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Franklin McCollum. She is survived by her daughter, Vera Owen of Martin; sons, Bobby McCollum of Southlyn, MI and Cecil McCollum of Winchester, Ill.; her sister, Ava Lee Robinson of Troy, TN; her brother, Clay "Bill"
Morton, of Troy, TN; two half-brothers, Marion Davis of Troy, TN and Roland Davis of Samburg, Tn; eight grandchildren, Kathy Pendergrast, Dennis Owen, Jerrie Owen, Ronnie McCollum, Sandy Schlifters, Florence Southworth, Cecil McCollum, Jr. and Mark McCollum.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Will Morton and Drucy Warix Morton.
Mrs. McCollum formally worked for City Dry Cleaners and Copeland Cleaners of Martin. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Martin.
