Mirtie Sue Carlton Kirkland

Mrs. Mirtie Sue Carlton Kirkland, age 88, of Martin, TN, died Saturday, 05/14/2016, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Monday, 05/16/2016, at Murphy Funeral Home with burial to follow at East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00 PM Monday until service time.

Mrs. Kirkland was a member of Ralston Baptist Church; she was a homemaker.

Mrs. Kirkland was survived by her husband, J. W. Kirkland, and her son, Kenneth David (Karen) Kirkland, of Martin, TN; three grandchildren, Jonathan Kirkland, Ryan Spitzer, and Susan Michelle Spitzer; and three great grandchildren; and a niece, Linda Felzke, Lansing, MI.

Mrs. Kirkland was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Kirkland Spitzer, her sisters, Katie Jenkins, and Ella Mae Cantwell, her brother, Robert Carlton, and her parents, Hobart and Morie Marie Rassett Carlton
