Mitzi Calhoun-Bowlin, age 59, died Saturday, December 15, 2018, at West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital in Martin.
Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be Thursday, December 20, 2018, 6:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Davison officiating. Friends may assemble at 5:45 P.M. for the service
Mitzi was born January 19, 1959, in Union City to Tommy and the late Bettye Jane Easterwood Calhoun. She is survived by her husband, Ron Bowlin of Martin, daughter, Kelly (Josh) Wilson of Martin; sons, Derek (Lisa) Bowlin of Puerto Rico and Bryan (Bekah) Bowlin of Troy.
Grandchildren Olivia and Elaina Wilson; Cody Bruce; Cassidy Lowery; Jack and Sean Bowlin; Tyler Bruce and Joey Whitten; sisters, Lynette Calhoun (Billy) Wagster of Martin and Rhonda Calhoun ("Pug") Daniel of Troy.
She was a family advocate for the Head Start Program.
Mitzi was preceded in death by her son, Chris Bruce.
The family requests memorials to be made to the American Cancer Society.
