Mrs. Betty Ayers

Mrs. Betty Jane Carter Ayers, age 87, of Martin died Friday, June 29, 2018, at her residence.

Funeral Service will Sunday, July 1, 2018, 3:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. Brandon Norton and Rev. John Wall officiating.  Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday until funeral time at 3:00.

Mrs. Ayers was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Ayers; parents, Everett Carter and Rena Jackson Carter; sisters, Rebecca Winston and Louise Brackett; brothers, Carl Carter, Thomas Carter and Fred Carter.

She retired from Merritt Clothing Company and she was a member of East Side Baptist Church in Martin.

Mrs. Ayers is survived by three sons, John F. Ayers of Murfreesboro, TN, Mike Ayers and Mark Ayers both of Martin.
