Mrs. Doris Harris

Mrs. Doris McKelvy Harris, age 82, died Friday, June 2, 2017, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral Service will be Sunday, June 4, 2017, 2:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Hutchens and Bro. Brad Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, June 4, 2017, beginning at 12:00 Noon until funeral time at 2:00.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband, Mr. Gene A. Harris; her two sons, Keith (Connie) Harris and Barry (Pam) Harris; one sister, Martha (Rex) Pate all of Martin; three grandchildren, Tonia Harris Harding, Brent Harris, Kevin (Ally) Harris; 2 great-grandchildren, Madison and Adrian Harding.

Mrs. Harris worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Ted Clements, receptionist for both Martin Specialty Clinic and for Servall in Martin before retirement. She was a graduate of Woodland Mills High School and a member of Bethel Church of Christ in Martin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon McKelvy and Martha Milligan McKelvy; one brother, Royce McKelvy.
