Ruby Bell

Mrs. Ruby Lee Bell, age 96, died Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at Van Ayer Nursing and Rehab Center in Martin.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 9, 2019, 1:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. David Brown and Rev. Kerry Shopher officiating.  Burial to follow in East Side Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, February 8, 2019, from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M., or after 8:00 A.M. Saturday until funeral time.  The family will arrive at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. Saturday morning.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Bell; parents, Matthew Wainscott and Mary Ella Harrison Wainscott; two sisters, Lila Erwin and Mary Pearl Wainscott; one brother, Claude Wainscott; one great-grandchild, Phillip Rea;  her son-in-law, Eddie Pearce.

Mrs. Bell was a homemaker and a graduate of Sidonia High School.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Martin.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Bill) Rea, Sherry (James) Hatchel and Judy Pearce all of Martin; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
