Sheila Mcwherter

Sheila Susan McWherter, age 72, died Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Diversicare in Martin, Tennessee.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 26, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at Murphy Funeral Home with Rev. Cody Barner officiating.  Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday beginning at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home until service time at 2:00.

Family will serve as pallbearers.

Sheila is survived by her brother and sister, Donny (Brenda) McWherter of Martin and Yvonne Halcomb of Indianland, South Carolina; her sister-in-law, Rose McWherter of Martin and a host of nieces and nephews.

She retired from Miller Lighting/Hubbel Lighting in Martin.  She was a 1968 graduate of Martin High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Chester McWherter and Zela Brundige McWherter; brother, Charles McWherter; sisters, Rachel Grinder, Ann Lou King, Betty Cox, June Scott and Linda Gurley.

Sheila was a member of East Side Baptist Church in Martin.
