Shirley Cheatham

Mrs. Shirley Cavin Cheatham, age 88, of Martin died Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Van Ayer Nursing and Rehab Center in Martin.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 16, 2023, 3:00 P.M. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Norton and Rev. Wayne Perkins officiating.  Burial will follow in Cate Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday at the church beginning at 11:00 A.M. until service time at 3:00.

Pallbearers are Robert Maddox, Michael Maddox, Troy Nanney, Garrett Maddox, J.B. Capps, Ross Hooper and Ryan Hooper.

Mrs. Cheatham was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos "Pete" Cheatham; her parents, Finis Cavin and Pearl Powers Cavin; sister, Bonnie Rowlett; brother, Billy Cavin.

She retired from City State Bank.  She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Martin.

She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Cheatham of South Fulton, TN and Carla Vowell of Martin; four nieces,  Wendy Maddox, Anita Rea, Rhonda Boyd and Tina Nanney; eight great-nieces and great-nephews.
