Mrs. Shirley Lorraine Swanson, age 97, and a resident of Martin, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at West Tennessee Healthcare in Martin.
She was born on April 19, 1929, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to the late Edmond Moen and Bertha Pointen Moen.

Shirley was a member of Pentecostal Church of God, and a homemaker all of her life. 

She is survived by her children, Samuel (Sharon) Swanson of Woodlawn, TN, and Debbie (Allen) Barger of Knoxville, TN; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Swanson is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Billy Gene Swanson; and two sisters, Marie Getts and Delores Francis.

There will be no services held at this time.
