Mr. Terry Wayne Guthrie, age 70, and a resident of South Fulton, TN, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Diversicare in Martin, TN
He was born on July 6, 1955, in Milan, TN to the late Norman and Zelma Roach Guthrie.

Terry was an active member of South Fulton Baptist Church and a proud U.S. Army veteran. A graduate of South Fulton High School, he dedicated 28 years as a Police Officer, retiring as a Patrolman with the Martin Police Department. He also served and retired as Sheriff's Deputy for seven years at the Weakley County Sheriff's Department, and he worked UTM campus security, Sharon Police Department, and Dresden Police Department. As a Contract Officer for DynaCorp, he served in Afghanistan and Iraq. Terry enjoyed mowing his lawn, riding motorcycles, planting sunflowers every year, and attended 17 REO Speedwagon concerts.

Mr. Guthrie is survived by his wife, Adrian Sowell Guthrie of South Fulton, TN; two sons, Zachary Garner of Martin, TN and Drew Polman of South Fulton, TN; one daughter, Lilly Wilson of South Fulton, TN.

In addition to his parents Terry is preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Guthrie.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, beginning at 10:00 am until the hour of service in our Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 12, at 12:00 pm in our funeral chapel.
Dr. Dean Doster will officiate. Burial to follow at Obion County Memorial Gardens in Union City, TN.

Pallbearers to serve:
Jim Granner, Dan Bondurant, Dean Brooks, Shane Morrow, Jay Faulkner, Brent Perry, Rex Vale, Dan Phillips, and Kenny Edwards.
